Cultivated Red Meat
Cultivated Meat (also called cultivated, cell-based & precision-fermented) refers to beef, pork, and other meats produced by growing animal cells in controlled bioreactors instead of raising and slaughtering livestock. Scientists cultivate muscle tissue designed to replicate the taste, texture, and nutrition of conventional meat while aiming to reduce land use, environmental impact, and animal farming. Most cultivated meat products remain in pilot or early commercial stages, with limited approvals emerging in a few countries. Learn more about Cultivated Meat.
